![]() ![]() ![]() I like the sliding track search, again, a more high-end type of feature, however, I would prefer if the FX had nobs for manipulation. Sliding track search / FX manipulator. The value you are getting here simply cannot be beat! It is because of the combinations of features you get with this controller plus price that you are paying. First off, let me say that the 5 star rating is not because this is the best controller you can buy.It has a touch strip at the top of each 'deck' which controls the effects and you can skip to different parts in the song. For the controller itself, it has lots of features. It's got pretty much all of your basic functions for operating virtual dj software (you won't be operating scratch controls on this board) and even adds touch sensitive stripping for the effect control.Numark Mixtrack Pro 3 Includes Built-In Sound Card Third, I run my music through a second software for EQ and bass compression, and when I run that through the studio 4a soundcard, the results are imperceptible.Coloured illuminated buttons that change colour when selected and large smooth sliders, plus nice large pads - I really can't find anything bad to say about this. A well built, quality bit of kit, looks very professional, is very functional and not a toy like some others.Coloured illuminated buttons that change colour when selected and large smooth sliders, plus nice large pads - I really can't find anything bad to say about this.Perfect controller for myself as a beginner (so I'd highly recommend if you're thinking about starting up) the only problem I found is with the Deckadance software that the controller comes with. This controller is good but the software that came with it said out of date code it took 5 days to sort it all out so my son couldnt play it and then we ended up buying a version of it because the other wouldnt work properly, so look for other software if buying. The same goes for other features, like library navigation, looping controls, EQ kills, keylock, and much more.Behringer CMD STUDIO 4a 4-Deck DJ MIDI Controller Most DJ software is capable of running 4 or more virtual decks, so the Studio 4A can control up to 4 virtual decks. Modern DJ software typically has between 5 and 8 hotcues, yet many controllers in the market only have 3. It's easy to get the big stuff right, but it's the little things that usually slip through the cracks. That means that if a button is lit in your software, it's also lit up on the Studio 4A. The CMD Studio 4A addresses this by incorporating plenty of MIDI feedback. And as a DJ, you don't want to be forced to constantly look at the computer instead of reading your crowd. No one wants to look up at the DJ and see him looking at his computer screen like he's updating his Facebook page. This high-quality audio interface has 24 bit converters and provides ultra-low latency operation in either Windows or OS X. So you buy a controller and get it home, only to find out that you have to go right back out and buy a soundcard? Behringer built a 4-out USB sound card into the Studio 4A, so you're ready to go right-out-of-the-box. After the faders, the platter is your main contact point on a controller shrinking that down to a tiny little rubber disc just isn't satisfying. Behringer say bigger is better, so the Studio 4A packs 6" touch sensitive platters that work the way you've come to expect coming from industry standard equipment. The trend is smaller and smaller platters, in an effort to knock the overall size of the controller down. Those sizes are an industry standard for a reason, right?Īnother area where most controllers fall short is platter size. 60mm channel faders translate into smoother mixes, so Behringer added those as well. Tiny pitch faders just feel wrong, so Behringer broke out 100mm faders for Studio 4A's pitch controls. And the Studio 4A not only includes those features it actually improves on them. This is no crippled budget controller Studio 4A has the very same features you'll find on the bigger, more expensive controllers. The CMD Studio 4A provides all the tools needed to learn the basics of DJing or to work the dance floor into a virtual frenzy. ![]()
